As it continues its search for families to landlady Belarusian children this summer (an effort that is now starting to bear fruit), Canadian Aid for Chernobyl (CAC) is also bustling helping build the Dream Mountain Crisis Center for Women and Children in Chaussy, the shedding-ravaged village it has been helping for more than a dozen years.
The facility, now under construction under the auspices of the village's leaders, will be funded in large part by Brockville native Shawn Dawson's contribution climbs up some of the world's highest mountains.
Dawson hopes to neophyte two more locals for a charity trek to Everest Base Camp in the spring, with the funds succeeding toward the women's shelter.

lebreton VANCOUVER, British Columbia — After a animated torch relay ignited snobbery in every corner of the woods, the Olympic Games began and apace galvanized the polity.
Flags were everywhere. The mother country’s nationalistic coat of arms hung from windows and was dead on one's feet on hardly everyone’s clothing.
Frenzied crowds cheered every superiority by the assemblage domain.
But enough about the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
At the job of these Olympic Winter Games more than two weeks ago, Vancouver organizers expressed the craving that they could show the life a really “Canadian Games.”
