What does the GU sticker stand for on the Miami Dolphins jersey?

I was watching the Dolphins-Jets feign just now, and noticed a huge black stick with the letters "GU" in pale letters on the front of their jerseys. Does anyone know who it is for or what it means?

The GU is a homage to Gene Upshaw the 15 yr oakland raider passage-fame guard (#63) and player union chairman of the board director who passed away in AUGUST.
